sábado 31 de agosto del 2024 - voy acabando esta pintada maratónica de las ilustraciones de las canciones del álbum de todas las flores de la natalia lafourcade. por obsesionada me demoré dos semanas menos de lo planeado, y la verdad me alegra para poder concentrarme en otras cosas. igual en el proceso me empecé a preguntar, ¿y si lo hubiera hecho con acuarela? la parte dibujada realmente es una impresión de los dibujos originales, que edité con tiralíneas para agregar más contraste. tal vez un día ocupe los originales para re-hacer estos con acuarela - ¡¡¡¡¡y así es como se me acumulan proyectos y proyectos!!!! puede que mi satisfacción no completa con estos sea por los acrílicos que compré y lo del brillo, o tal vez el papel no le da una buena textura, ya pero no lo quiero alargar más por ahora. a veces la separación de los proyectos ayuda a su proceso. igual quedaron lindos y satisfice mi necesidad de hacerlos (en la vida real, porque si los he tenido hechos en digital por unos meses). otra cosa interesante de ese proceso fue que al plasmarlos en papel me di cuenta de algunas cosas que pude ir cambiando, y al final si me gustan más que los digitales en ese sentido. pronto pronto subo la página para poder verlos todos.
la última parte de este proyecto será cuando consiga el fijador opaco y los marcos para enmarcarlos, que ayer busqué en todo el centro de talca, pero como estamos casi al fin del mundo recién van a llegar esas cosas en uno o dos meses. ¡paciencia! y ahí los pondré a la venta.
el fin de semana pasado avanzamos más con lo de despejar el terreno en achibueno, y nos dimos cuenta que donde habíamos pensado construir no va a ser posible porque la pendiente dificultaría demasiado el trabajo, así que hubo un completo cambio de planes (o planos) que después de estar metida todo un día dibujando y en sketchup y viendo fotos satelitales del terreno, ya espero haber resolvido. la próxima vez que vayamos habrá que medir. algo muy hermoso de esta visita es que encontramos un sector del terreno donde se puede ver el río (no se puede bajar porque hay un pequeño acantilado de 15? metros) que está de verdad muy hermoso. compartimos un lindo tiempo de contemplación ahí con los amigos, y siempre avanzando para cuidar y vivir el bosque nativo.

saturday august 31st, 2024 - i'm finishing up this marathonig painting of the illustrations of the songs in natalia lafourcade's album de todas las flores. this obsession made me be two weeks quicker than planned, and that actually makes me happy as it will allow me to focus on other things. anyways, during the process i started asking myself, what if i had done it in watercolour? since the drawn part is really a print of the originals which i then edited with liners for higher contrast, maybe one day i'll use the originals to re-do the illustrations in watercolour... and that is how i accumulate projects on projects on projects!! perhaps my mis-satisfaction has to do with the acrylics i bought and the shinyness, or maybe the paper doesn't give a good texture, but i don't want the project to become longer just now. sometimes the separation is also good for advancement. they are nice anyway, and i'm happy just because i could make them (irl, i had done them digitally a few months ago). another interesting thing about this process was that hen i put them on paper, i realised that i wanted to change up some things, and finally i do like the paitings more than the digital. soon i will upload them all for everyone or anyone to see.
the last part of this project will be when i manage to get the matte finish spray and the frames, since yesterday i looked all over talca's downtown, but since we are almost at the end of the world they will be here maybe in one or two months. patience! and then i will put them on sale.
last weekend we moved forward with clearing the land in achibueno, and realised that we won't be able to build where we had set to do it because the slope would give us too much extra work, so there was a complete change in plans (as in architectural plans) which i then solved by drowning myself a whole day in satellite images, sketchup and drawing. i hope it'll be good now, we'll have to go measure next time. something beautiful was the view to the river we found (although one cannot go down to the river as it has a big drop of like 15? meters). it was really gorgeous. we shared a nice time contemplating with our friends, and always moving forward to live and care for the native forest.
